Wash tips

Easy care. Permanent fabric.

SolarBloc, PURE-tech, and M Shield live in the knit. Wash them like working gear, not like a coating.

    Machine wash

    Wash with like colors using a mild detergent. The Solar line is made to be machine washed. Color is built to hold against sun, sweat, and salt.

  2. 02

    Hang dry or tumble low

    The knit is quick-drying. Hang it or use a low tumble. That keeps the shirt ready for the next early launch.

  3. 03

    Skip fabric softener

    Softener coats technical poly and dulls wicking. PURE-tech cool-wicking is permanent in the fabric. Leave the coating off so it can do its job.

  4. 04

    Salt and sweat

    Rinse or wash after heavy salt spray and long hot sits. M Shield odor control is zinc-based and built to stay in the knit, but a clean shirt still fishes better.

  5. 05

    The protection stays

    SolarBloc UPF 50+ is built in and permanent, wet or dry. Protection improves as the shirt is worn and washed. You are not rinsing off a finish.
